Carl & ‘Chelle’s Grill Room Receives North Carolina Beef Backer Award
“It’s an honor to recognize the people who are directly responsible for promoting and presenting our products to consumers”, said Ralph Blalock, vice president of North Carolina Cattlemen’s Beef Council. “We have the same goal, an enjoyable eating experience every time customers purchase beef.”
Carl & ‘Chelle’s Grill Room of Goldsboro received the top honors in recognition for their excellence in serving, promoting, and menuing beef. The restaurant opened its doors in 2011 and has enjoyed treating diners from all over eastern North Carolina and beyond to their hand cut ribeyes and filets.
The restaurant features a special format in which the rib sub primal is presented to each table and customers select the portion they’d like. Most often that’s an 8oz perfectly marbled cut, but they’ve also served a 28 oz steak (and baked potato) to one hungry customer.
“We’re proud to have the state winner in our county”, said Eddie Pitzer, president of the Wayne County Cattlemen’s Association. “We plan to partner with Carl & ‘Chelle’s Grill Room for an upcoming meeting of our cattlemen.” The restaurant was nominated by Wayne County Cooperative Extension agent Eileen Coite on behalf of the Wayne County Cattlemen’s Association.
Carl & ‘Chelle’s Grill Room is located at 702 Corporate Drive and their website is www.carlandchelles.com Be sure to stop by for your next great beef eating experience!
