The year is flying by! And now is the perfect time to revamp your fitness routine by making your moves more effective or trying something entirely new that will help you get in shape and look fabulous just in time for the holidays.

Wayne County Cooperative Extension is offering an 16-week Fit and Fabulous Fall Session Challenge starting August 4th through November 19th, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. If you have hit a plateau and can’t seem to break the cycle, need support and motivation to get started, or perhaps you are stuck in a “fitness rut” Cooperative Extension has the answer.

As an educator, one of my goals is to help others acquire a healthy lifestyle. That includes getting individuals off the couch to engage in some form of physical activity, and consuming and preparing healthy foods. It is a fact that many of the health related issues many of us face are diet related. Changing your unhealthy lifestyle to a healthy one will lower your risk for cardiovascular disorders, diabetes, cancer, and other diseases.

There are many reasons why people make a decision to join a gym, fitness program, or become active. Some hope to lose weight while others are trying to tone up. Still others participate because they got a “wake up call” from a doctor. Regardless of your reason for participating, we provide an environment that makes exercise FUN and MOTIVATING in addition to STIMULATING you to become more active than you ever thought possible.

Our Fit and Fabulous classes are designed for ALL fitness levels and incorporate a number of inspiring and unique fitness activities. The camp is packed with adventure and momentum, but also camaraderie and group support – which will be one of the most memorable parts of the experience. Our highly trained facilitators, Marilou Lugo, Sonja Summerville, Jesús & Daisy Nichowill work, train and strengthen every muscle in the body to help you break through weight –loss plateaus and boost your metabolism. It will be tough going but in the end you’ll be FIT and FABULOUS!

Classes alternate between Zumba and aerobics will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Wayne Center located on the corner of George and Chestnut Streets. Our Fall Sessiondates are as follows: August 4, 6, 11, 13, 20, 25, 27, September 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, October 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29, November 3, 5, 10, 12, 19. My challenge to you is to get with the program and join us on a fitness journey for success. Let us help you get rid of the unwanted fat, chisel your tummy, sculpt your back and tighten your arms. It’s time for a NEW YOU!
