Show and Sale 2019

— Written By

The Wayne County Jr Livestock Show and Sale is an event held every year for the youth of Wayne county. Participants must have their animals for at least 75 days before the show, to work with them and get them show ready. They must also attend at least two educational workshops to broaden their knowledge of their project animals and the livestock industry. At the end of the program, participants show their animals and then sell them. It is truly a full circle project—they raise the animals, groom and manage them, then sell them to get a picture of how the industry works. This year our Show and Sale will be held April 24 and 25, and the deadline for having your animals is Feb 8th. We will show goats, heifers, steers and pigs at our show this year!
