Currituck County 4-H is hosting a series of Cloverbud workshops for youth ages 5 – 7 years old. These workshops will be held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center located at 120 Community Way, Barco NC. Each workshop will be hands-on with a variety of learning experiences. You can register for one or all workshops as long as there is space. All participants must be enrolled in 4-H Online. These workshops will be conducted on either a teachers’ workday or an early release day. All workshops will have a registration fee; those fees will vary for each program. 

Canceled – Pumpkin Workshop will be held on October 11, 2021, beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding at 2 p.m. This workshop is for youth ages 5-7 years old. Activities include a field trip to a local pumpkin patch, pumpkin decorating, and cooking with pumpkin. All participants will take home their decorated pumpkin and pumpkin muffins. Participants should bring a bag lunch. Space is limited. Registration deadline is October 1st please reserve your child’s spot through the Eventbrite link below. Registration fee for this class is $15.00

Helping Hands Workshop will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, starting at 2 and ending at  5 p.m. This workshop is designed to teach our youngest 4-H members about giving back to those who serve our country. They will be putting together washcloths that will be filled with toiletry items and taken to the veterans hospital in VA. We will also help them write on Christmas cards to be sent to those service members that will be overseas during the holiday season. Registration deadline for this class is October 29, 2021. This workshop is free! 

Holiday Fun Workshop will be held on December 10, 2021, starting at 2 and ending at 5 p.m. During this fun-filled and festive workshop, youth will make ornaments, and bake Christmas cookies. Each child will make and take home an ornament and a plate of cookies. There is a $12.00 registration fee for this workshop. Space is limited so reserve your child’s spot by December 1 so you do not miss out on the fun. Registration deadline for this class is December 3, 2021. 

Reserve your child’s seat today by first completing the class registration at  https://cloverbudfall2021.eventbrite.com and then complete your child’s 2021 4-H Online enrollment at 4-H Online. Class size is limited and full registration, including completed 4-H Online enrollment is required to hold your child’s spot. We also accept cash and check payments in addition to paying via credit card through Eventbrite. Please, make checks payable to NC State University. Checks and cash payments can be received at the Currituck County office, 120 Community Way Barco NC 27917, within 5 days of registration. We will gladly help you complete your online registration. Currently, indoor, in-person classes with youth require masks to be worn for the duration of the class without exception. If you arrive without a mask one will be provided for you. We also ask all participants to maintain six feet of distance while on the premises.
