Description:

This is part of a workshop series is designed to help beginner and advance home gardeners learn the basics of gardening and landscaping. Workshops are presented by Jessica Strickland, Wayne County Extension Horticulture Agent, and consist of presentation, handouts, question & answers and hands-on learning.

Per Workshop: $5
For all workshops: $40

Reserve your seat in advance by paying registration fee at Wayne County Extension Office -or- arrive 30 minutes early to pay at workshop

Description:

This is a Basic Beekeeping Class open to anyone wanting to become a certified NC Beekeeper, or anyone wanting to learn about beekeeping, or individuals wanting to refresh their knowledge & skills. Students are not required to raise bees during or after this course. Those desiring to become a certified beekeeper by the NC State Beekeepers Association will have the option to test upon conclusion of the class. At each class we provide class review, allow time for Q’s & A’s, and have refreshments available. You’ll meet experienced beekeepers who share their knowledge and provide hands-on training in the bee yard.

$60 per person or $85 per family. This includes one textbook per person or family, an information notebook and class handouts.

Register on first day of bee school from 8am to 9am. Cash and credit card will be accepted on registration day.

Registration form can be picked up at Wayne County Cooperative Extension Office.
